SandenWolff is a boutique production company creating video and audio content for the arts, working with world-class museums and cultural institutions in New York and around the country.
We’re looking for a self-motivated, technically strong, creatively minded Junior Video Editor to join our post-production team. This is an opportunity to learn our workflows and aesthetic while taking increasing responsibility for projects—from organizing raw footage and building timelines to editing finished, publish-ready content.
The role is 100% remote, but candidates must be based within reasonable commuting distance of Chicago for occasional in-person meetings with our Chicago-based leadership and team. A reliably fast internet connection is required.What you'll do
Initially, you'll focus on mastering our technical post-production workflows, including:

- Organizing, transcoding, and managing video and audio media
- Syncing multi-camera and multi-audio interviews in Premiere Pro
- Creating and working with AI-generated transcripts
- Building and organizing Premiere Pro projects and timelines
- Pulling selects and conforming interviews to provided scripts
- Proofreading and incorporating transcripts, scripts, and subtitles
- Creating title treatments and credits
- Reviewing renders and exports for technical and editorial quality
- Managing company and client assets in Google Drive and Dropbox
As you demonstrate proficiency, the role can quickly expand into more creative editorial work, including:

- Building edit assemblies from scripts and creative direction
- Editing rough cuts and incorporating producer/director feedback
- Working with clients through revisions
- Color correction in Premiere Pro/Lumetri
- Researching, selecting, and editing library musicWhat we're looking for
Required:

- Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro CC
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities
- Willingness to learn new technical workflows and software
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a remote environment
- Reliable high-speed internet
Preferred:

- Professional video editing experience
- Experience with multi-camera/multi-track interview editing
- Familiarity with Descript, Syncaila, Google Docs, Dropbox, and/or Rev
- Interest in art, museums, film, or cultural institutionsCompensation & benefits
This is a full-time, non-exempt salaried position (40 hours/week). Typical hours are 9:00 AM–5:00 PM CST, with paid overtime expected occasionally.
Starting salary: $48,650/year + benefits
Benefits include:

Trial period: Employment begins with a four-week, full-time paid trial period at $250/day. Successful completion of the trial period leads to salaried employment with benefits.How to apply
