Meta Ads Coach, eCommerce Founders

The Short Version

eCom Capital Pty Ltd. Burleigh Heads, Gold Coast QLD. Fully remote, anywhere in Australia. Full time. $110,000 to $120,000 base plus super, plus performance bonuses.

I am building the media buying coaching team inside Phase 3 of our Mastermind, and I am hiring a coach who can buy, not a buyer who lives in the accounts. You will own a book of up to 30 D2C Shopify founders. Your job is to take each one from their first ad to their first $10,000 in sales, then to profitable $10,000 months, then to $20,000 a month.

If you have launched brands from nothing and you have also carried a real portfolio of ad spend, keep reading. If you have done one of those but not both, this is not your seat, and I would rather save us both the time.

What Phase 3 Is

eCom Capital is an eCommerce coaching company on the Gold Coast. We work with Australian D2C Shopify founders, most of them launching their first brand.

The Mastermind is our full-service, one-on-one program. It runs in three phases. Phase 1 is product: finding and validating something worth selling. Phase 2 is pre-launch: we build the website, the founder builds the content and the ads. Phase 3 is launch and scale: the ads go live and the brand has to make money. That is where you sit.

Mastermind Pro is the next program. Founders are promoted into it once they pass $20,000 a month, and it is built to take them to $1,000,000 a month and beyond. Your founders are the front of that pipeline.

What You Will Actually Do

Coach founders from first ad to $20,000 a month. You give them the launch plan, the account structure, the creative testing method and the numbers to watch. They run their own ads. You teach them to run their own growth, because a founder who cannot read their own account will never scale past you.

Set the strategy, Meta first. Meta is the engine for every brand on your book. About 90 percent of our brands run Meta only. Google is a plus and gets used on the brands that are ready for it.

Run the reviews and change the plan on what the numbers did, not on what the founder hoped they would do. You spot the ones drifting early and you act before the month is lost.

Get in the accounts where it counts. You will be inside accounts, but as triage, not residence. You diagnose, fix what the founder cannot, then hand it back with the lesson. Implementation support beyond that sits with the account managers.

Hold the standard. You coach straight, you hold founders accountable, and you keep them moving. Post and hope is not a plan. That is a prayer.

What a week looks like. Your book is up to 30 founders. Group coaching calls a week where founders bring their accounts and you work through them live.

A one-on-one review with each founder every week. A weekly book review with Phil where you go founder by founder on the scorecard. The rest is account triage, 2-4 hours a day at most, and building the training your founders learn from. Each quarter you are in the room at our live events, teaching founders in person.

What You Are Measured On

I state these up front because vague expectations attract vague people. Every number below is conditioned on one thing: the founder is doing the work. A founder who follows the system is yours to win. A founder who will not is not your failure, and the rule for that is at the bottom.

First $10,000 in sales inside 90 days of launch, for every founder who follows the system. We underwrite that number for our clients with our Performance Assurance, so it is the number you are measured on first.

90 percent of your compliant founders contribution positive at every monthly review, after their first 60 days of trading. Contribution positive means revenue minus product cost minus ad spend is above zero for the month. Not ROAS on one campaign. The whole brand.

Portfolio MER of 3.0 or higher across your compliant book. MER is total revenue divided by total ad spend across every brand you coach. It is dollar weighted, so your biggest spenders move it most, and one brand bleeding at scale will sink the book. The way to hit it is nobody bleeding, not one hero account.

A clear ascension pipeline. Every founder on your book has a dated plan to $20,000 a month, and the ones who pass it are promoted into Mastermind Pro within [210] days.

The book runs to this standard whether or not anyone is watching. Remote means trusted, not unaccountable.

The Offer

The money. $110,000 to $120,000 base plus super, plus performance bonuses. The base reflects your proof and experience not your “tenure in the game”

Work from anywhere in Australia.

Fully remote, Monday to Friday. You run your own book from wherever you do your best work. We bring the team together for quarterly retreats and quarterly live events, so you get the room when it counts and your own space the rest of the time.

A real team around you. You join 16 people across our three phases, including five media buyers. You report to our Phase 3 Lead - Phil, who runs your weekly book review. I run the client portfolio across all three phases, and I am the one reading your applications as they come through.

Beyond the book of business. You get stage time at our quarterly events, and the training you build goes into the platform every founder learns from.

Who You Are

A fire starter. You have the hunger and the drive for the start.

You get a kick out of solving hard problems, out of being resource constrained, and out of helping a founder bring something new to life. You get a bigger kick out of a founder telling you that because of your guidance, your training and your media buying strategy, they have left their job, hit a million dollars a month, or built a business that employs their family. That is what wakes you up in the morning.

Competitive. You want to win. You want better performance every month, you want to keep improving, and you want to be the best in a team that demands greatness of our clients. That is what we are looking for in this seat.

Proven at portfolio scale. You have personally managed at least $250,000 a month in ad spend across multiple accounts at the same time. One big account is not a portfolio. Thirty founders is a portfolio job, and I need to know you can hold the whole board in your head.

A coach, not just a buyer. You can explain why something worked in plain language to someone who has never opened Ads Manager, and they can then do it without you. If you can buy but cannot teach, this is not your seat.

Fluent in the numbers. MER, ROAS, CAC, contribution margin, what a healthy account looks like at each stage, and what to change when it is not. You make decisions from data and you defend them.

Meta strong, Google a plus. Meta is where you live. Google means we use you on more.

Self managing. Fully remote with 30 founders means nobody is chasing you. You run your day, hit your numbers, and raise your hand early when something is off.

Who This Is Not For

This is not an agency seat, and it is not for anyone who wants to sit behind the scenes and push buttons. You will be on camera, on Zoom and live in front of clients, having the hard conversations and solving problems in the room. Those live situations are the job. If you would rather geek out behind a screen than get in front of a founder and tell them what to do and how to fix it in their business, this is not the right role for you.

It is also not for anyone without the drive to grow, learn and progress. If you think your way of doing things is the best, you have learned all there is to learn, and you plan to plod along doing more of the same, this is not for you either.

How To Apply

No long application. Details and specifics beat volume.

Send me proof. Brands you have built, accounts you have run, companies you have worked with, and what the numbers did. I would much rather see that than a long CV.

Send a cover letter that is personalized to this job. If there is nothing in your application that is specific to this role, I will not consider you for it.

Email it to johndg@ecomcapital.com

If you make the shortlist, stage two is practical with Phil, our Phase 3 Lead.
