Stay Upright is Australia's largest motorcycle rider training organisation, and we also run Advanced Heavy Vehicles, an accredited heavy vehicle training provider based in Victoria. We have been operating since 1981, we train around 70,000 riders a year across 29 centres in five states. We are bringing our finance function in house and we are looking for the person who will run it.

The role:

The whole finance function, owned by one person. Fortnightly payroll for ~150 people across five states. BAS and PAYG reporting. Bookkeeping in Xero, accounts payable and receivable. You report to our General Manager.

You will need:

Five or more years experience running a full finance function end-to-end.

Payroll for a large casual workforce, with award interpretation

Multi state payroll tax

BAS Agent registration or eligibility, or a Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping (desirable, working towards ideally)

Advanced Xero skills

What we offer:

27.5 hours a week, 9am to 2.30pm. Fully remote, anywhere in Australia. A stable, profitable business that has been running a national team remotely for years. Real ownership of the function. Eligible for bonus scheme after qualifying period.
