At Hampshire Villages, we're looking for a motivated Early Career Accountant who is eager to learn, embrace technology, and who wants to grow their career alongside an experienced leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced graduate or early-career finance professional to gain hands-on experience across financial reporting, budgeting, analysis, process improvement, and digital finance initiatives.
Working directly with our CFO in a remote environment, you'll gain exposure to the full finance lifecycle while helping us shape smarter, more efficient ways of working through advanced Excel, Power Query, AI tools, and data-driven decision making.
What you'll be doing
You'll play an active role in:
Supporting month-end and year-end reporting processes
Financial analysis, variance reporting and management reporting
Budgeting and forecasting activities
Reconciliations, journals and general ledger maintenance
Exploring innovative ways to improve finance processes through technology and AI
Working closely with stakeholders across the business to provide meaningful financial support
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who:
Is naturally curious and enjoys solving problems
Strong Excel & finance software skills and ready to become an expert in Power Query or other analytical reporting, including AI
Takes initiative and looks for better ways of doing things
Self-motivated to work remotely
Wants genuine career development and exposure to all aspects of finance
About You
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
1-2 years' accounting, finance, audit, bookkeeping or internship experience (graduates with strong capability encouraged to apply)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail
Excellent communication skills
Ambition to grow your career and continue developing professionally
