We are committed to creating vibrant, community-focused environments where people can live well and explore their own backyard.

Our success is built on shared values that guide how we work every day: Respect, Accountability, Collaboration, Innovation, Quality, and Customer Focus.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced SEO and AI Search Lead to join our Shared Services Marketing team.

Reporting to the Senior Digital Marketing Manager, you will own Hampshire Property Group’s organic and AI-search visibility across traditional search engines and emerging AI-powered discovery platforms.

Working across Hampshire Holidays Australia, Hampshire Holidays New Zealand, Hampshire Villages, Hampshire Essentials, Group brands and emerging ventures, this hands-on specialist role combines technical SEO, content strategy, local search, answer engine optimisation and performance measurement across close to 100 digital assets. You will develop and deliver the Group’s SEO and AI-search roadmap while partnering with in-house marketing teams, offshore production support and external agencies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will:

Develop and maintain a group-wide SEO and AI-search roadmap based on commercial opportunity, customer demand and delivery effort.

Improve Hampshire’s visibility across traditional search engines, Google AI experiences and generative platforms such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity.

Conduct technical SEO audits and manage priorities across crawlability, indexation, schema, site architecture, redirects, canonicals, sitemaps, Core Web Vitals and mobile performance.

Provide strategic SEO input into website launches, migrations, rebrands, domain changes, booking-engine transitions and new asset acquisitions.

Optimise destination, accommodation, property, community and corporate content for search relevance, authority, conversion and AI-powered discovery.

Undertake keyword, search-intent, content-gap and competitor analysis to inform content and campaign opportunities.

Improve local search performance through Google Business Profiles, location pages, listings, reviews, citations and consistent business information.

Create scalable SEO and AI-search templates, standards and playbooks for business-unit teams and production support.

Use GA4, Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, Windsor.ai, Looker Studio and specialist SEO platforms to identify opportunities and measure performance.

Connect organic and AI-search activity to commercial outcomes including qualified traffic, bookings, enquiries, sales leads, revenue and assisted conversions.

Direct and quality-assure SEO and AI-search work delivered by internal coordinators, offshore support and external agencies.

Use AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT and Copilot to scale audits, research, content briefs and reporting while applying appropriate human review and judgement.

Collaborate across Marketing, Revenue, Sales, Operations, Digital Experience, Performance Media, Content, Brand and Information Technology.

Test emerging search and AI-discovery approaches, document results and scale successful practices across the Group.

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

At least four years’ experience in SEO, including hands-on technical and content optimisation.

Strong generalist SEO capability gained within an agency, multi-brand organisation or large multi-site digital environment.

Demonstrated experience conducting SEO audits and implementing strategies that improve organic visibility and commercial outcomes.

Strong knowledge of technical SEO, content optimisation, keyword and intent research and local search.

Working knowledge of answer engine optimisation, generative engine optimisation and the factors influencing visibility in AI-generated answers.

Experience using AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot or equivalent within professional SEO or content workflows.

Strong analytical capability and experience using GA4, Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools and specialist SEO platforms.

Experience with tools such as Screaming Frog, Semrush or Ahrefs and data connectors or reporting platforms such as Windsor.ai and Looker Studio.

Experience coordinating or directing work delivered by internal teams, offshore support or external agencies.

Excellent attention to detail, sound judgement and the ability to manage competing priorities across a complex digital portfolio.

Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills and a curious, collaborative and customer-focused approach.

Experience improving visibility within AI-generated search and answer platforms will be highly regarded. Experience within tourism, accommodation, property, residential communities, financial services or another location-led or multi-brand organisation would also be beneficial, as would experience with Craft CMS, Squarespace, large-scale local SEO, website migrations and platform transitions. A relevant tertiary qualification or recognised SEO, analytics or digital certification would be advantageous.

The opportunity to experiment with emerging AI-search technologies and help establish how they are used across the Group.

A collaborative, respectful and customer-focused workplace.
